In Harmony with Nature, To Be or Not To Be
In Harmony with Nature, To Be or Not To Be brings together 40 participants from 5 countries between April 20–29, 2023, to promote climate resilience and ecological responsibility through non-formal education and practical workshops.

April 20–29 2023
The issue of climate change requires immediate attention. There is an urgent need to scale up activity on adaptation and resilience at all scales due to the escalating consequences of climate change on all socioeconomic sectors and natural systems in all parts of the world. We have taken on this challenge knowing that altering behavior is notoriously challenging but believing that education is a potent tool in empowering individuals, boosting voluntary action, and assisting people through the transition so they understand and accept climate change and take appropriate adaptation action to face it. The project is entirely based on the principles of non-formal education, the essence of which, is to combine a specific action with the conscious reflection of the learner. In Harmony with Nature, To Be or Not To Be is a step towards a cleaner environment. At the same time, it will encourage as many people as possible to be more aware of the consequences of a dirty environment. Nature should be protected because it represents the inevitable source of life and at the same time with a cleaner nature we are healthy. The mobility will involve 40 participants from each partner country: 7 young people (between 16-25 years old) +1 team leader (must be over 18 with previous experience in the Erasmus+ program) from North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania). The initiative provides the chance to carry out environment workshops and seminars to foster young peoples interest in and passion for the natural world and to promote environmental protection. In addition, it aims to instill in young people a sense of responsibility for the value of environmental protection, developing their abilities and attitudes in order to value and respect the environment through proper conduct while also educating the public on the significance of conserving resources. All the activities planned for the youth exchange are based on non-formal education concepts, including seminars, meetings, discussions, integration activities, presentations, brain storming, practical workshops and so on.
The objectives of the project are the following:
•Creating opportunities to expand and use ecological knowledge for young people, and forming pro-ecological attitude based on personal reflection and practical experience.
•Equiping the participants with personally meaningful knowledge that is focused on sustainable development and effective climate adaption measures.
•Enhancing the European component and cooperation through the involvement of 5 European nations (Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Poland and Slovakia) representing diverse regions experiencing the effects of climate change.
